I had just finished up my 2yr program in cosmetology school and got my first hair job @ Regis Salon in downtown Spokane, WA. I worked there a little less than a year and I was fired 11months in for what I believe was discrimination! While I was at Regis I was an exceptional employee, I cleaned, dusted, stocked new merchandise, did all the laundry by myself most the time during all my down time I was always busy. During my time employed by Regis there were several issues with co-workers and management that were never addressed and made the job that much more stressful! I was written up for one customer complaint in all the time I was there.. When I was told I needed to bring a model in to complete a service similar to the complaint. I had asked my manager for guidance to which she said she wasn't even comfortable with her own skills or trust herself enough to help me! So I ended up searching and searching for help on the outside and was able to sign myself up for a class that cost me over $100 then I was abruptly fired before the class even was scheduled. Tell me whether you think this is right? PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY AS AN EMPLOYER! 128a9d5

Managers should be going through trainning and able to bring education to the shop..They cant fire you for getting further education. Our mangers want us to learn so we can get better totals and make more money.I think you're Manager wasn't a good one and Regis is going through deep cleaning and rebuilding the company I'm sure people like that will not work there much longer..Sorry about you're shop drama.I work in SOCAL and it's awesome!

I have worked for Regis in several states, as I move a lot. I have never, in all the years- had a bad work experience. Ive made good money averaging around 18 an hour. Found my coworkers to be caring and professional and informed. The company has mandatory monthly continuing education and flexible schedules. Total I have worked at 7 Regis salons. And I would go back there in a heartbeat if there were one in the city I'm in now.

I worked for them also The company is all about a dollar and they do not at all care about their employees and we as employee's have no rights we have no one to protect us.Dont understand too much what happened between the class you were about to take and you being fired but its defitnetly unfair to have and issue with them and they are always right.Dont worry though any business that makes money and hurt people along the way will not countiue to be able to succeed God see's all and know all.
